:: Stackpeople ::
This idea came from the phrase ‘Community Builders’ which encompasses the way Social Enterprise creates stronger, healthier communities through involvement, employment and training. The use of ‘Builders’ immediately puts people in mind of the construction industry, so we approached the idea using people as building blocks, which led onto a human pyramid and eventually into a block of stacked people. The use of colour and the name of the Trade Association is subject to change.
:: Magnetism ::
This idea sprung forth from the desk toy which has magnets instead of the usual stainless steel spheres that hang from wires, we were exploring the notion of forces that attract objects together. The initial idea was that the words would represent the wires and the spheres would be the circles with the letters in them. As this idea became finalised we felt that this initial idea became less important, and more just a graphical mark.
:: Suneye ::
This idea was born out of the feelings of hope that social enterprise can bring to communites. We embodied this as rays of sunshine and all this being encompassed inside a watchful eye. It was felt that the eye part of the idea was insinuating the concept of ‘Big Brother’ style surveillance, so the idea became the rays of the sun inside a simple circle that represents a pupil.
:: Maze ::
The idea of using a maze was developed from the organisation staus as being one which would guide other organisations along the path to being socialy responsible.
:: Lighthouse ::
Using the phrase ‘Guiding Lights’ we knew we had to steer clear of the ‘beacon’ branding, and so opted for a light house, this idea was promising in its early stages but was a difficult concept to put onto paper.
:: Jigsaw ::
This idea came from the notion that a trade organisation would bring people together.
:: Unused ::
These are ideas that where dismissed early on in the design stage.
