All rooms have a small kitchen unit with sink and hot plate. Each room has a fitted carpet and a built in wardrobe; also a TV aerial point and a telephone outlet. All other furniture, including curtains and bed linen, is provided by the resident. There is a front door entry phone system, and residents have their own keys to their rooms and the front door. A Stannah lift is available to the first floor. The utility room has a washing machine and tumble dryer which may be used without charge. Meals. Residents take mid-day and evening meals in the lounge/dining room. Cereals and other food are supplied to enable them to prepare breakfast and snacks in their rooms. A varied menu is provided by the Housekeeper, who takes her main meals with the residents: individual preferences are taken into consideration as far as practicable.

Care. A resident Housekeeper and "sleepers in" provide night cover, but we do not provide full 24 hour cover, nor do we provide personal care (other than in emergencies and for short term illnesses) or nursing care. Residents register with their own doctor at the local surgery. There is an emergency call system from all rooms, en suite facilities and bathrooms. In addition, we employ a part-time cleaner and gardener.

Religious Services. Visiting clergy and a resident lay preacher hold religious services in the House. Clergy of any denomination are welcome to visit. The Vicar of Honiton is a member of the Executive Committee.

Guests. Residents friends and relatives may visit at any time. We have a guest room for short term visits.

Administration. The Society is administered by an Executive Committee of volunteers. Day to day operation of the House is overseen by a House Committee.
