For those who are no longer able to look after themselves HILL HOUSE, Combe Raleigh, Near Honiton, Devon provides accommodation and round the clock care. Residents have their own individual, en-suite rooms, but are not expected to look after themselves. The dedicated care staff provide all the assistance they may need 24 hours a day.

Hill House also caters for short term stay, providing home carers with a temporary break. Elderly people can come for a few days or a few weeks, while their carers take a well earned holiday or just a break.

Hill House is registered under the Care Standards Act 2000 for 25 residents, and is an approved provider to the Devon Social Services Department.

The residents' rooms are on two floors with a lift, and the house has fully equipped assisted bathrooms in addition to the en-suite facilities. There is a nurse call monitoring and response system, communal dining room and lounge, a library with magnificent views over the beautiful Devon countryside, a crafts room and a beautiful garden with a summer house. There are level paths around the garden, equipped with handrails. A minibus takes residents shopping each week, and other outings are arranged.

Each resident's room is fully furnished, and all sheets, pillowcases, towels etc. are provided and laundered. There is a television point and a telephone outlet.

Fully trained staff are on duty 24 hours a day to provide care and comfort when it is needed, and assistance with bathing and dressing is given as required. Friends and relatives can visit at any time of the day, and are very welcome to stay for meals. Balanced menus are provided, and special dietary needs are met.

Main meals are taken in the dining room, with breakfast and snacks served in the residents' rooms.

Religious services are held in the house, and clergy of all denominations are welcome to visit.

The care and wellbeing of our residents is paramount. Our well motivated and trained staff have the ability to cater for the varied needs of our residents, and to give them individual support to live their golden years with dignity and as independently as possible.
