Offering support and companionship within a family atmosphere, Lethaby House is a pleasant ten minute level walk from the centre of Budleigh Salterton. The town facilities include a Health Centre, Library, Post Office plus various banks and many interesting shops. Set in a mature garden in Moor Lane, the house faces south to The Green, a parkland area, adjacent to the Public Hall.

FACILITIES:

Sheltered accommodation is provided for seven residents. All rooms have 'en-suite' shower with pull down seat, plus washbasin and toilet. They are carpeted and have a refrigerator. Residents bring their own furniture, curtains and bed linen. TV and telephone points are provided. There is also a homely and comfortable lounge available to residents and friends or family at all times. Independence is encouraged with each resident having keys to the house as well as to their own room.

CARE:

There is a permanent Housekeeper (plus a deputy) and, although 24 hour cover is not available, each resident is provided with a personal emergency call system and there is cover overnight.
The Housekeeper serves a midday and evening meal in the dining room attempting to cater for all tastes. Breakfast and snacks are a personal responsibility, although help with supplies is available. The Housekeeper does resident's personal laundry twice a week and basic room cleaning is provided.
Help is also offered to residents to access short term nursing care and personal care is available in any emergency. The Housekeeper will always concern herself with the general well-being of the residents.

CHARGES:

These are available on application and include the cost of main meals, Council Tax, lighting, heating etc. The weekly room rates are among the most reasonable in the area. Prospective residents are invited to visit Lethaby House at any time mutually agreeable to the Housekeeper.
